Work History: 1990-to date

Provide financial consulting to a wide variety of businesses.  Some well-established, some expanding, and some start ups.  Focus on asset management, credit issues, bank relationships, financing techniques, etc.  Strengths include planning, market strategies, and simplification of business structure.

Took a bankrupt manufacturing company and formed Precision Polymer Products.  The company uses a variety of polymers, resins, and urethane’s to mold products utilizing reaction injection molding.  Specializing in short run, fast turn around one-time projects.  Strengths include variety of compounds, and low cost compared to using full scale production techniques.

Am still active in both areas. Have also served on various boards of directors or advisory for both clients and unrelated companies.

1979-1990 Senior Vice-President Asset Management, Miles Homes

Miles Homes, a division of Insilco Corp., supplied building materials to families that build their own home utilizing the company’s plans and financing. Ran the credit operation, project monitoring, and end financing to pay-off the loan.  Was responsible for assets exceeding $280,000,000.  Left when company was sold.

Contributions included getting entire asset management system computerized, improving front-end credit risk evaluation, and developing a mortgage company to facilitate the final pay off.  Reduced credit losses over a decade by 45%.

1968-1979 Vice-President, Gamble Skogmo, Inc.

Joined Gambles as an economist, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.  Acted as liaison with various credit departments, and produced a variety of periodic economic analyses for the diverse divisions.  Became involved in acquisition analysis, and many different types of financing to facilitate closure.  Served on various boards including captive finance company, bank, SBIC, and NYSE acquisition.

Contributions included developing a standard method fro measuring performance among diverse businesses, bringing economic analysis to business decisions to acquire or divest, and the ability to work with diverse groups in a staff capacity.  Left when company was considering sale to private investor.

1961-1968 Director of Research, Associated Credit Bureaus

Hired to develop business research for this trade association of local credit bureaus.  Developed a leading business indicator based on reporting volume to predict retail business activity.  Also was involved in developing a “common language” for credit reports as precursor to computerized credit reports.
